Starting on January 1st, 2016, new energetic requirements will be followed for the air-handling units. The European directives ERP 2009/125/EG (Energy-Related-Products), also called Ecodesign, will promote a better energy efficiency in the air-handling field. Thus, adopted on November 26th, 2014, the European decree 1253/2014/EG has been its precursor.
